Kevin Hammer
A life of Achievement and Service for all of us
Kevin brings a rich and diverse educational background and resume to the table. He attended the University of Detroit where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, then earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit School of Law. He followed that by becoming a certified public accountant. He also owned his own legal practice and worked for multiple firms, including Plante Moran and Arthur Andersen, as a tax professional.
Most recently, he served as the President of the Marian High School Board of Directors and Athletic Director at Our Lady of Sorrows in Farmington, Mich. Kevin’s most satisfying time is spent with elementary and high school students, in the classroom and in sports, and in helping mentor the next generation in becoming better citizens and leaders.
He spent many seasons coaching soccer, basketball, baseball, and golf, from parks and recreation programs to the Catholic Youth Organization and to high school athletics. He’s served on his parish’s school committee, finance council, a high school board of directors, dads’ clubs, booster clubs, in various civic and non-profit organizations, and occasionally enjoys the challenges and rewards of substitute teaching.
Kevin and Kouhaila have been married for 37 years. His most meaningful and joyful years were spent raising their children together. Now they enjoy each other, and the hustle and bustle of four grandsons.
